Ultimate Loaded Grilled Cheese

This loaded grilled cheese is packed with flavor, featuring gooey cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh tomatoes. Perfect for satisfying comfort food cravings all year long.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Flaky sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread and place four of them buttered-side down on a cutting board.
  3. Layer each with a slice of cheddar cheese, two slices of bacon, tomato slices, baby spinach, another slice of cheddar cheese, and top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
  4. Drizzle olive oil into the skillet and place the sandwiches in, pressing down lightly with a spatula. Cook until golden brown and the cheese has started to melt, about 4 minutes on each side.
  5. Season with flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve hot.
