Ingredients
- 1 sheet pre-rolled puff pastry
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 2 tablespoons honey, plus extra for drizzling
- 10 ripe figs, halved
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
Method
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the puff pastry sheet on the prepared baking sheet. Using a sharp knife, score a 1-inch border around the edges of the pastry, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mascarpone cheese and 2 tablespoons of honey until smooth. Spread the mixture evenly over the center of the pastry within the border.
- Arrange the halved figs on top of the mascarpone mixture, cut side up.
- Sprinkle the figs with granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed around the edges.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Drizzle with additional honey and sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.
