Small-Batch One-Bowl Chocolate Cake
This small-batch chocolate cake is perfect for when you want to indulge without having too much leftover. It's easy to make with just one bowl, making clean up a breeze.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a small 6-inch round cake pan and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined and smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
