Small-Batch Chocolate Cake
This small-batch chocolate cake is perfect for when you crave a sweet treat without the leftovers. It's quick, easy, and only requires one bowl!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a small 6-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
