Slow-Cooker Pulled Pork

Ingredients
- 4 pounds pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Method
- Mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, then coat with the spice mixture.
- Place the pork shoulder into the slow cooker and add chicken broth and apple cider vinegar.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Shred the pork directly in the slow cooker and mix in the barbecue sauce. Stir to combine.
- Allow the pork to cook for an additional 30 minutes on low to absorb the flavors.
- Serve the pulled pork warm on buns or with your favorite sides.
