Simple Ground Beef Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sour cream, for serving

Method

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, ground cumin, and smoked paprika.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, about 8 minutes.
  5. Season the beef mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for 30 seconds on each side.
  7. Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with the beef mixture, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Serve the tacos with sour cream on the side.
