Simple Baked Ham Dinner
This baked ham dinner is a perfect center of the table dish, ideal for spring gatherings or a hearty weekend meal. It's easy enough to prepare but feels like a special occasion dish.
Ingredients
- 1 (5-pound) bone-in ham
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cloves, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
Method
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Place the ham in a roasting pan, cut side down.
- In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, ground cloves, and black pepper.
- Brush the mustard and honey mixture all over the ham, making sure to cover it evenly.
- Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
- After an hour, remove the foil and baste the ham with the pan juices. Continue to bake, uncovered, for an additional 30 to 45 minutes, or until the ham is golden brown and heated through.
- Let the ham rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
