Perfectly Pan-Fried Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Method

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season them generously on both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mix evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Add the pork chops to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and are golden brown.
  6. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for 5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
