Loaded Grilled Cheese Sandwich
This loaded grilled cheese sandwich is perfect for a comforting dinner at home. Filled with gooey cheese, savory ham, and fresh spring greens, it's a dish everyone will love.
Ingredients
- 8 slices whole grain bread
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 8 slices ham
- 1 cup baby spinach leaves
- 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method
- Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place 4 slices of bread, buttered side down, onto the skillet.
- Top each bread slice with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, 2 slices of ham, a few spinach leaves, and tomato slices. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately.
