Korean Spinach and Tofu Stir-fry

This Korean-inspired spinach and tofu stir-fry is a perfect beginner-friendly dish that highlights fresh vegetables with a pop of flavor. A touch of sesame oil adds a rich, indulgent note, making this healthy dish both satisfying and quick to prepare. Ideal for any meal of the day, it fits seamlessly into a balanced diet.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 300 grams firm tofu, drained and cubed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200 grams fresh spinach, washed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Flaky sea salt, to taste

Method

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the cubed tofu to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown on all sides. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  5. Return the tofu to the skillet, add soy sauce, ground black pepper, and toss everything together to combine.
  6. Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the stir-fry, then season with flaky sea salt to taste before serving.
