Juicy Homemade Burgers
These homemade burgers are perfect for a summer meal. They're juicy and full of flavor, sure to please family and friends alike.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef, preferably 80/20
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 slices tomato
- 4 leaves lettuce
Method
- Preheat an outdoor grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the beef mixture into 4 equal patties, slightly larger than the burger buns.
- Lightly brush the grill or skillet with olive oil.
- Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or skillet for about 1 minute, until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by layering lettuce, tomato slice, and the burger patty on the bottom bun. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
