This garlic butter shrimp is a perfect blend of savory flavors. It's easy to make and requires minimal cleanup, making it ideal for a delicious weeknight meal or a special weekend treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 8 ounces asparagus, trimmed

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and set aside.
  3. Place shrimp, asparagus, and lemon slices on the prepared sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the shrimp and vegetables. Toss gently to coat everything evenly.
  5. Spread everything out in a single layer and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque and asparagus is tender.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
