  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Method

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. Stir in the cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine the flavors.
  4. Pour in the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken slightly.
  5. Meanwhile, warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
  6. Fill each taco shell with a generous scoop of the beef mixture.
  7. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and cilantro if using.
  8. Serve the tacos immediately while warm.
