Easy One-Pan Beef Tacos
These easy ground beef tacos are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a lazy weekend meal. Everything cooks in one pan, making cleanup a breeze.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Sour cream, for serving
Method
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned.
- Stir in the chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix to combine.
- Pour in the water and let the mixture simmer until the beef is fully cooked and the flavors meld, about 5 minutes.
- Warm the corn tortillas on a hot skillet or in the microwave.
- Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with the beef mixture, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheddar cheese.
- Serve with sour cream on the side.
