Easy One-Bowl Chocolate Cake

This one-bowl chocolate cake is perfect for any occasion. It's quick to prepare, uses simple ingredients, and results in a moist and delicious dessert that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is well combined. The batter will be thin.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
