Easy Homestyle Meatloaf
This homestyle meatloaf is perfect for a summer weekend dinner. Moist and flavorful, it's great with a side of mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce, for topping
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Spread the barbecue sauce over the top of the loaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
