Easy Homestyle Meatloaf

This homestyle meatloaf is perfect for a summer weekend dinner. Moist and flavorful, it's great with a side of mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce, for topping

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Spread the barbecue sauce over the top of the loaf.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
