Creamy Garlic Pasta

Ingredients
- 12 ounces fettuccine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt, to taste
Method
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, ground black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to coat it evenly with the creamy garlic sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt to taste. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
