This classic meatloaf is a perfect choice for a slow weekend cooking session. It's packed with flavor and will fill your home with inviting aromas. Serve it with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for greasing
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Mix the ingredients gently with your hands until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatloaf tough.
- Lightly grease a loaf pan with olive oil. Transfer the meat mixture into the pan, pressing it down evenly.
- Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
