Ingredients
- 1 (8-pound) bone-in ham
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Method
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Place the ham on a rack in a large roasting pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and ground cloves until well combined.
- Pour the glaze over the ham, making sure it's evenly coated. Use a brush to cover all surfaces with the glaze.
- Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
- Bake for about 2 hours, basting the ham with the glaze every 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of baking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
- Check the temperature with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).
- Once done, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
- Season with sea salt and black pepper to taste. Serve warm.
