Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Flaky sea salt, to taste

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with flaky sea salt and black pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and garlic powder.
  4. Coat each chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  5. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast, then top with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving. Serve hot.
